Slivers-of-Time is a Social Enterprise based in East London that developed and now operates a range of marketplaces for more efficient purchasing of public services.

Slivers is best known as the world leading “Slivers-of-Time Working” programme. Launched by Councils and Primary Care Trusts around the UK, Slivers allows people who need to work ultra-flexibly to enter the local labour market. It has proved invaluable to people with complex childcare needs, those with recurring medical conditions and Carers who wish to work around their caring commitments.

As Personalisation began, Slivers was supported by the Cabinet Office to look at whether there was an equally useful marketplace required to truly deliver the promise of Self Directed Support.
