Q: Carers often want consistency. Can this marketplace make sure they have the same workers all the time?

A: Generally Yes. You decide the person, or people, you really like.  However this depends on their availability and your specific requirements.

 

Q: How can this marketplace help me balance the budget I receive?

A: It shows you the total cost of each booking, dependent on how many hours and the time of day, evening or weekend that you want to book.

 

Q: I’ve never used the Internet. Will this work for me?

A: Probably: You don’t have to access the market yourself. Do you know anyone, anywhere, who could be allowed to go online on your behalf? Is there a local volunteer group who might do it?

 

Q: I need to make sure the Care Worker can do certain things when I am having a break?

A: Yes. You can ask Crossroads to set up a specific agreement around your needs. This will be offered as part of the service.

 

Q: What happens if the needs of the person I care for have changed since I last used the service? Examples include their level of mobility or medication requirements.

A: If this happens please contact your branch of Crossroads to discuss these changes so they can ensure the right care is provided.
