Book Your Own Breaks
Carers have given a clear message that they want flexibility without the hassle when booking a break. Carers don’t have time for lots of administration or want to spend a long time making a booking.
To make that possible Hertfordshire County Council has set up a marketplace. It enables Carers to choose when they want to have a break, how long it will last and how much notice they want to give.
When Carers make a booking they are able to:
- See all the Care Workers who are qualified, available and willing to do that booking.
Book their chosen worker(s) within a couple of clicks.
Let the marketplace take care of the payment and admin.
See how much they have spent.
Care Support Workers
have to go through the following recruitment process before they start providing
services:
- Interviews
- CRB Checks
- Welcome Meetings / Inductions
- Shadowing
